You can Access your VAULT two ways, through any Web Browser or through your Windows Desktop. By using a Web Browser you can Access your VAULT anytime, from anywhere. The Windows desktop login can be set to automatically connect to your VAULT every time you start your PC.
Web Browser
From any web browser visit www.bigvault.com and Select “Account Login”
Desktop Login
Upload
Once you’ve logged into your VAULT you can Upload folders and files to your VAULT. Simply select the Upload icon and utilize the Windows explorer to Browse and select files and folders for Upload. Upload allows a transfer of unlimited folders and files, limited only by your VAULT quota. The folder structure and hierarchy will be maintained under the currently selected folder.
Drive Letter Access
Alternatively, you can easily Drag and Drop files and folders to your VAULT with bvDRIVE. bvDRIVE gives you direct access to your VAULT as if it were a local drive on your computer. You can map a drive letter to your VAULT so you can use Windows Explorer to drag and drop as well as cut, copy and paste files back and forth between your computer and your VAULT. You can even edit files directly in your VAULT.
bvPLUS+
bvPLUS+ offers automated full or incremental offsite backups of your Laptop or PC. bvPLUS+ backup software is downloadable from within your VAULT. The easy Windows explorer-like functionality enables check off the folders and files to be backed up. Within minutes your backup sets are scheduled and your data will be secured in your VAULT.
Share Files and Folders through Guest Access
bigVAULT offers both File and Folder sharing as well as Upload (Modify) rights through its Share function.
Share Files - You can assign a Guest password to multiple File(s) in your VAULT. Guests do not have to be bigVAULT account holders. Guest(s) login from the homepage and select “Guest Login”.
Guest(s) enter your VAULT name and the “Guest” password you assigned. You can assign an expiration date and time to the password. You can delete the password and change the expiration date and time at any time from any anywhere.
Share Folders - You can also assign a Guest password to any folder in your VAULT. All the same Share Files functions apply. Additionally, you can assign upload rights with storage allocation to the Guest password.
For example: You can create a folder “Family Photos” with a Guest password. The password can be indefinite or have an expiration date and time. In addition, you can allocate Upload rights to the Family Photos folder password with any amount of your VAULT space you desire.
Your Guests will only see those items you stored in the “Family Photos” folder, and your Guests can upload files to this Folder.
You can delete the password, change the expiration date and time, and delete or change the Upload space amount at any time from any anywhere.
Email directly from your VAULT
Mail enables you to email a hyperlink to any file in your VAULT, to any email address. The recipient does not have to have a bigVAULT account. Access requires proper entry of an access code, which is included in the mail message, and the recipient’s proper email address. The default Mail access expiration is seven (7) days from today. You may change the expiration date by adjusting the calendar accordingly. You also have the option of setting a maximum number of times the recipient(s) may download the file.
